Responsibilities

SUMMARY: This position operates various pieces of equipment to fabricate materials, per specifications in conjunction with customer quality requirements and United Alloy manufacturing philosophies. Monitoring machine performance and efficiency are essential. FABRICATION WORK CENTERS: Laser – Cinci Fiber, CL707, Mitsubishi (2) Pressbrake – 350 TON / 135 TON / 90 TON / 60 TON Punch – King & Queen Salvagnini Plasma Projection Welder Misc Fab (Ficep, Saw, Drill, Bridgeport, Tap, Pipe Tap) ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Must be able to set up and run in one of the fabrication work areas Understands how to manage daily work expectations and goals Understands, interprets and follows foreman’s report including priorities and start dates Understands how to read material sheet tags and determines material types and gauges Understands cross check concepts and inspects product according to Inspection Control Plan Follows all safety policies and standards Is capable and willing to train other employees Understands non-conforming process according to SOP-0003 Maintains accurate and timely system transactions Can inspect and clean equipment including all preventative maintenance Inspects own work for quality standards Other duties may be assigned

Qualifications

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required The individual must have exposure to metal fabrication concepts and processes Must possess the ability to operate overhead cranes, tape measure, caliper, basic hand tools and air tools Must be able to read and interpret blueprints Have completed forklift certification training with safety team to operate a forklift Can record time accurately including “time and attendance” and “labor reporting” using the data collection system Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move 100 pounds with an assist 12 Expected Behaviors of Actively Engaged Person – 100% Responsible, Trustworthy, Team Player, Clear Communicator, Empathy, Humility, Emotional Self-Control, Resolves Conflict Directly, Positive Attitude, Respects Others, Problem Solver, and Agile.
