• Provides health care instruction and counseling to inmates • Processes inmates into the jail by screening and evaluating medical and mental histories as needed • Assists physicians, psychiatrists and dentists as needed • Fills and dispenses medicines and supervises self-administrationQualifications
Certification as a Licensed Vocational Nurse, knowledge of first aid techniques, pharmacology and practices in general nursing, no criminal record, and at least one year experience, with preferably some detention or public health experience.Guadalupe County Adult Detention Center
