We are seeking a Human Resources Generalist I for our new, air controlled Seguin, Texas Plant.

Position Summary:

The HR Generalist is responsible for providing effective customer service and support to the Human Resources Department. This position coordinates and performs administrative duties relating to personnel functions and programs, recruitment, payroll, benefits administration, and employee relations. This position reports to the Human Resource Manager

Essential Job Functions:

  • Perform onboarding activities to include orientation and ensuring all documentation is accurate.
  • Ensure plant payroll functions occur in a timely manner and with adequate review.
  • Effectively communicate HR programs to include benefits, services, and information in a positive manner.
  • Maintain confidentiality in all dealings.
  • Maintain accurate and current information in employees' personnel files.
  • Assist with recruiting for exempt and non-exempt employees.
  • Provide support to the HR Manager in all associate engagement and retention programs, appraisals, and activities. Assist in corrective actions, as required.
  • Strong organizational skills, excellent attention to detail and follow-through with projects and assigned.
  • Assists with establishment of departmental goals and support company strategic plans.
  • Ensure the compliance with all local, State and Federal laws and statutes including labor laws and other governmental regulations.
  • Assisting employees with daily questions and concerns with regard to attendance and vacations; and other program(s).
  • Support IATF 16949 and ISO14001 auditing and initiatives.
  • Working knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Two to four years of progressive Human Resources experience.
  • Associates or Bachelor's degree in HR related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Working Conditions:

Will be required to work within the plant - factory environment where there is some exposure to noise, dust, fiberglass, and heat. Must adhere to PPE requirements as defined in the safety manual when in the manufacturing area.
