Boot Barn coming to Seguin

(Seguin) — Another box store retailer is moving to Seguin. Boot Barn will soon find its new home at Seguin Crossroads. The announcement was made Monday by the Seguin Economic Development Corporation.
SEDC Executive Director Josh Schneuker says Boot Barn will be occupying 15,000 square feet adjacent to Pet Supplies Plus at the shopping center located near Tractor Supply.
He says after the news that the shopping center was bought by a Houston based commercial real estate group; he was not surprised to learn about this latest addition to Seguin retail.
“I’m actually not surprised at all. We’ve had a ton of interest from prospects that we’ve been talking to about establishing a presence in Seguin and a lot of our challenges have been really surrounded around a lack of real estate offerings and we knew that if we were able to work with somebody who could really give that center new life and could really manage and handle the leasing and marketing of that center in partnership with our efforts, we knew it would be a homerun. I think right off the bat, they got to work getting in front of a lot of the prospects that we’ve been previously talking to and then working a lot of other prospects that they had connections to, so we really weren’t surprised at all to hear that Boot Barn had signed their lease and is starting to move forward with getting established here in Seguin,” said Schneuker.
Schneuker says Boot Barn is only the first of more businesses expected to call this shopping center home.
“I think it’s just kind of the start of things to come. They have a lot of activity on the center, and I think hopefully we will have some more announcements here later on this summer and into the fall as well,” said Schneuker.
The news about Boot Barn comes just a week after Seguin Radio KWED announced the future opening of also a Ross Dress for Less, Discount Tire and Marshal’s. Renovations on the business space are expected to begin later this summer. The store is set to open in the spring of 2023.
