SEGUIN, TX – The Seguin Economic Development Corporation (SEDC) is dedicated to maintaining and improving the economic climate of our city. Partnerships with our local business is key to achieving those goals. Every year, the SEDC hosts a Business Appreciation Luncheon to thank our local businesses for their dedication to our city’s present and future economic growth.

“A key element in the success of economic development is a culture that creates opportunities for new business as well as sustained business excellence for existing businesses. SEDC is proud to honor a few of those businesses each year that are a “REAL” part of that culture by recognizing their outstanding achievements,” said Carlos Moreno, SEDC Board President.

The 10th Annual Business Appreciation Luncheon was held on Thursday, September 15th from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Soel Venue. The event featured a Small Business Comes to You Pop Up Shops, Senior Labor Market Economist for Texas State Technical College, Richard Froeschle as the honorary keynote speaker, and a delicious meal served by Schulze’s Pit Room.

The event concluded with a special awards ceremony that recognized the achievements and contributions of three members of the business community. Those recognized included Tyson Foods - Economic Impact Award, Minigrip - Community Impact Award & Jason Dinscore, CMC Steel Texas - Workforce Champion Award.

“It is hard to put into words just how much we appreciate all the contributions our businesses make to the city of Seguin. The SEDC’s Annual Business Appreciation Luncheon is our way of saying thank you to the local business community. It was an honor to have them in attendance for this event, and it was an honor to recognize these three businesses for their outstanding achievements and contributions to the city of Seguin over the past year,” said Josh Schneuker, Executive Director of the SEDC.

The Seguin Economic Development Corporation is proud to honor the contributions these businesses provide to our community including quality jobs, a diversified tax base, and outstanding community service. We congratulate them all on their success and look forward to years of continued partnership.
