Texas Lutheran University is a “Best in the West” selection in The Princeton Review’s “2020 Best Colleges: Region by Region” web feature. With 656 colleges represented in five zones—Northeast, Southeast, Midwest, West, and International—TLU is among just 127 Western colleges considered to be academically outstanding and well worth consideration in a college search.

Using numerical scores on a scale of 60–99, the ratings are reported in several categories, including Academics, Admissions, Financial Aid, Campus Life, and Safety. These results are primarily based upon surveys of university administrators at schools who provide The Princeton Review with institutional data. Student survey responses are also taken into account.

“Being recognized by The Princeton Review is an affirmation of the quality educational experience TLU provides,” President Dr. Debbie Cottrell said. “The areas that this particular evaluation focuses on align well with our priorities and with our overall goal of serving students well. We are proud to be noted for our excellence in this way.”

Since 1981, The Princeton Review has been an education services tool committed to helping college-bound students through test-preparation services, tutoring and admissions resources, as well as through online courses and resources and print and digital books.
