(Seguin) — The Season of Love is upon us, and Downtown Seguin is bustling with pairs in search of the perfect date night. With beautiful backdrops like historic rooftop views and the sweet sounds of a local musician, Downtown Seguin is the place to take your Valentine this year.

Galentine’s Fun

A few pre-Valentine’s events include Valentine’s Date Afternoon on February 10 at You’re So Crafty, a Galentine’s Party at Serenity Boutique on February 8th, or Seguin’s Sweetheart Market Day at Funky Monkey Mercantile on February 10.

On February 13, Pecantown Books & Brews will be hosting their Galentine’s Day Wine and Chocolate Tasting where you will enjoy five pairings of chocolates with wines. There are limited seats for the tasting, so call (830) 491-9155 to book your reservation.

Valentine’s Date Night

For the big day, make dinner reservations at one of our delicious local eateries. Enjoy a three-course dinner at 1916 Bar & Bistro at the Historic Aumont or Seguin Brewing Co. Both are offering prix fixe menus for the occasion, so be sure to make your reservation early! Toast your Valentine with delicious wine selections at Sips & Gulps. They will have Q’s Creole & Seafood on site for dinner too! Whatever your tastebuds are craving, or the mood you are looking for can definitely be found in Downtown Seguin.

After dinner, enjoy a quick nightcap at one of Downtown Seguin’s watering holes. Enjoy craft cocktails at The 1908, an impressive bourbon selection at Schultz Saloon, or great wine selections at Sips and Gulps and Pecantown Books & Brews. After drinks, a stroll through the twinkling lights in Central Park is the perfect way to end your evening.

Even if you prefer a night in, all of our local businesses offer take-out options so you can have a lovely night in the comfort of your own home. For the winos out there, swing by Blue Lotus Winery & Texas Mead Works or Windmill Farm Winery and grab a delicious bottle of locally made wine or mead.
