(Seguin) — The Seguin Main Street Program is planning its 15th Earth Day Festival held in conjunction with our Spring Trade Days for April 27 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in Central Park. At the Earth Day Festival, nonprofit organizations, government agencies, and businesses will set up exhibits and activities to educate the community on green living.

There will be interactive educational displays, plant sales, children activities, reusing items to create artwork, and lots more.

The community members will be encouraged to complete the Earth Day Passport by visiting with the Earth Day exhibitors and once completed, the passport can be turned in for a bag full of prizes.

Seguin Main Street is still looking for more businesses and organizations to sign up to be an Earth Day exhibitor. There is no cost for nonprofit organizations to participate.

“Being an Earth Day exhibitor is a great way to get your mission in front of the Seguin community,” said Kyle Kramm, Main Street & CVB Director, “Even if your core mission is not about sustainability, your business or organization can participate. In the past we have had a dentist office plant seeds with kids, a lawncare business sold plants, and another business had kids build bird houses – so there are ways for any organization to get involved.”

To sign up for a booth as an Earth Day exhibitor, visit www.seguintexas.gov/EarthDay <http://www.seguintexas.gov/EarthDay>.

At the same time our Earth Day Festival is being celebrated in Central Park, there will be over 80 vendors set up around the square as part of the Spring Trade Days. Vendors will be selling home goods, jewelry, soaps, food, clothing, yard décor, and much more.

To sign up to be a vendor at the Spring Trade Days, please visit <https://seguintexas.gov/259/Trade-Days—Held-Twice-a-Year>.

So plan to come out on April 27 to downtown to learn about living a sustainable life, buy some treasures, and have a great time.
