The City of Seguin Now Accepting Applications for 2026-2027 Business Improvement Grant Program

SEGUIN, TX – The City of Seguin is once again accepting applications for the Business Improvement
Grant (BIG) Program, one of the City’s most popular small business support initiatives. The BIG
Program is a reimbursement-based grant opportunity aimed at the development, renovation, and
expansion of commercial properties in the City of Seguin. BIG Program award recipients are eligible to
receive a reimbursement of up to 75 percent of the total project cost that they invest in their business
property, up to $10,000 per year. Improvements and expenditures eligible under the Seguin BIG
Program include façade improvements, sign improvements, site improvements, and other real property
improvements.
“Seguin first launched the BIG Program in August of 2021. Since then, we have found it to be very
successful for our small businesses,” said Steve Parker, City Manager for the City of Seguin. “We are
very excited to be able to offer this grant to the community again for another year. The BIG Program
enables our small businesses to partner with the City on projects that will help improve the physical
condition of existing commercial facilities and improve business operations and efficiency through the
addition of new equipment and machinery. These investments are a win for the City and a win for our
local businesses.”
