(Seguin) — Guadalupe Regional Medical Center has received a shipment of 800 Moderna COVID-19 vaccinations through a distribution program run by the State. The vaccinations arrived at GRMC on Wednesday. Hospital officials say medical personnel that provide direct patient care are the highest priority for this initial distribution.

Together, Guadalupe Regional Medical Center and Guadalupe Regional Medical Group employs over 800 people that have been on the front-line of caring for COVID-19 patients during the ongoing pandemic. They say they anticipate that this initial COVID-19 vaccine shipment will be completely distributed to their healthcare providers.

Guadalupe Regional Medical Center encourages everyone to discuss with their family practice providers whether they should get vaccinated for COVID-19.

GRMC has no information on COVID-19 vaccination availability for the general public.

Officials say Guadalupe Regional Medical Center is committed to providing our community with updated information as warranted during this challenging time.
