Seguin, TX – July 7, 2022 Pure & Gentle, Inc. today announced that it has been recognized as a Manufacturing Leadership Awards winner for its outstanding achievement in Sustainability in Manufacturing. This honor marks Pure & Gentle’s second award win in a row.

The winning project enables Pure & Gentle to build upon the knowledge and experience they’ve acquired in almost forty years of business. For over ten years, Pure & Gentle has been a carbon-neutral manufacturing facility, reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) footprint and diminishing impact on the environment. Continuing this ongoing environmental commitment and innovation, Pure & Gentle is raising the bar and transitioning their Seguin, Texas manufacturing facility from carbon-neutral to carbon-negative. They are working to achieve the goal by:

  • making increasingly environmentally-conscious packaging choices,
  • transitioning to renewable energy sources and limiting Scope 3 emissions, and
  • committing to a higher level of carbon offsets.

Pure & Gentle’s goal is to join the ranks of other highly respected sustainable corporations throughout in the world that will achieve carbon-negative status by 2030.

“Pure & Gentle’s achievement of this award is rooted in our passion to produce eco-friendly, eco-healthy products,” says John Blount, president and CEO. “Humble beginnings and difficult challenges are the foundation of every great accomplishment. This award is recognition of the hard work of many dedicated individuals. Thank you, NAM, for acknowledging this.”

Pure & Gentle has been recently recognized at the Manufacturing Leadership Awards Gala, on June 29, 2022, at the JW Marriott in Marco Island, Florida.
